This course is for junior-level human resource (HR) professionals, and supervisors and line managers who have HR responsibilities. It is also appropriate for HR professionals whose experience has been in a single functional area, for persons exploring HR as a career, and for business managers with employees but not an HR department. Six topic areas are covered, including an introduction to human resource management, followed by modules on employment law, recruitment and selection, compensation, employee development, and performance management. Through readings, lectures, class discussions, and activities, gain important knowledge and skills you can use immediately in your day-to-day job.
