Sarah O. Wang

Marr Jones & Wang

Sarah O. Wang is a partner with Marr Jones & Wang, where she represents employers in federal and state court lawsuits, administrative investigations and hearings, and arbitrations under collective bargaining agreements.  Ms. Wang also provides day-to-day advice on managing the risks associated with employment decisions and actions, and she devotes a substantial amount of her practice to providing training to help employers comply with various employment laws and avoid legal claims. 

Ms. Wang received her B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from Whitman College and her J.D. degree from the University of Virginia School of Law.  She has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America, in the area of labor and employment law, since the 2007 edition and she has been listed in the Chambers USA directory, America’s Leading Lawyers for Business (in the labor and employment listing), since 2004. 


Sharon Ohata, Assistant Vice President

Island Insurance Companies

Sharon Ohata is Assistant Vice President of Workers’ Compensation Claims at Island Insurance Companies.  She joined the Claims Division in July 2011; overseeing the workers’ compensation unit’s adjusting and administrative support staff. 

Prior to joining to this she was the Director of Training and Development for Island Insurance, responsible for creating process and guidelines for training and development programs throughout the Company.

Before joining Island Insurance in 2008 Sharon served as the Vice-President/Claims Consultant for Atlas Insurance Agency.

Sharon was Vice President of John Mullen and Company’s Workers’ Compensation Department for 18 years.  During her tenure at John Mullen and Company, she was involved with the set up and roll out of several self-insured and captive insurers programs.

She holds the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designations

Sharon received her Master in Business Administration from Chaminade University and is a licensed independent adjuster.
